Eminent Domain

Since our inception, a substantial portion of our practice has been devoted to eminent domain cases. These cases arise when a government body or agency, or a public service corporation must acquire all or a portion of a privately owned parcel for a public purpose. We have represented condemning authorities in a number of cases, many of which have been decided by a commission at trial. More recently, we have represented the owners of private property which was the subject of an eminent domain proceeding.
