Grimes joined JAMlaw in August of 1995 after several years with a large firm in Richmond. Grimes’ legal practice spans a wide spectrum of practice areas, including commercial litigation, fair housing, landlord and tenant litigation (commercial and residential), trucking law, FELA, and insurance defense cases. Grimes represents car dealerships, dairy farmers, property management companies, and businesses of all sizes, both here in the Roanoke Valley and throughout the Commonwealth. Grimes has successfully tried and defended numerous federal and state court cases, and he has been instrumental in the drafting and interpreting the Virginia Residential Landlord and Tenant Act.
